#Wipitup #Spankingromanace His Forever Summer #Corbinsbend

Welcome to another WIPITUP Wednesday. Big thanks to Melody Parks for organising this for us every week.

I'm sharing a hot little snippet from my recently published Corbin's Bend Novella, His Forever Summer.  Only a very little bit mind you :)

Seems like Carla is in a little bit of trouble here....

She flinched as she felt the cool wood of the paddle trace her bottom. She knew a swat would follow. Kieran whacked her ten times on each cheek with no warm up. Straight in to the firm hard spanks. Carla tried to focus on keeping her position rather than the pain of each stroke. He aimed them all low, right on that spot where her bottom met her thighs ensuring she would feel the effect for the rest of the day. Fast and firm.
“Don’t move. I’m not finished with you,” he warned. She heard him rummage in the wardrobe and when he returned, he leaned down at her feet. She felt him attach the spreader bar to her ankles and her pussy pooled with anticipation. A punishment fuck. Oh how she loved those, but she tried to hide her excitement. The last thing she wanted was him to take them away.
“No,” she protested, and kicked with her legs trying to prevent him attaching the second cuff. She felt the delicious sting of his hand on her already punished buttocks. She stifled her moans of pleasure and kept struggling.

His Forever Summer
Carla Methon has tread on a lot of toes, men’s and women’s alike. But no one could be more dissatisfied with Carla than the lady herself. With a compunction to throw herself at every man within a three mile radius and a serious case of foot in mouth disease, Carla knows she is in desperate need of being taken in hand before she does any more damage to her reputation.

Kieran O’Brien needs to escape a broken relationship and he invites himself to spend a summer with his brother in Corbin’s Bend. But Kieran is a totally unsuspecting vanilla with no idea of the ethos of the community he is about to enter.

The pair strike up an unlikely friendship of vanilla and spice, with one stipulation – it is only a summer fling. By the time Kieran boards his flight to return to Ireland he wishes his summer could last forever. Can he find the courage, not only to admit the extent of his feelings, but to take on the role Carla so desperately needs him to be?

An Interview With Author Cara Bristol and an Excerpt from her Brand New Release

You have no idea how excited I am to have had the opportunity to interview Cara Bristol. Her Rod and Cane Society books were the first thing I knew about Spanking Romance and what a floodgate she opened for me. It is no exaggeration to say she was an inspiration.

Hi Cara, thank you so much for agreeing to let me interview you. Congratulations on the release of Warrior, which I can’t wait to get my teeth into.
Thank you, Tara. I’m thrilled to be on your blog—although you did ask some hard questions!
1.       Can you share a little of Cara Bristol, the person?
This is the question I find the hardest. Well, I’m American. I’m married, and I have two grown stepkids. I’ve written my entire life, even as a child. I’ve worked as a newspaper reporter and public relations manager, but being an erotic romance author is the best job I’ve ever had. I’ve enjoyed many different hobbies and interests over the years, but the only thing I’ve been passionate about is writing.
2.       If you were to describe yourself in five words, what words would you use?
       Dependable. Quiet. Responsible. Pragmatic. Arrogant.
3.       What sort of thing gets you really excited / hyped up?
I have my pet peeves, to be sure, but I’m an even-keel kind of person. I’d never get accepted on a TV game show because I wouldn’t be “perky” enough. If I won a lot of money, I’d probably say, “Oh, that’s nice,” while in my head I’d be doing the math to figure out how much I’d take home after taxes. Did I say I was pragmatic? J
4.       What is your favourite way to relax?
I watch TV, read, and play a couple of games on my Kindle. And I walk. Four-plus miles every day (6.5 km).
5.       What is the book / series by another author, that has stayed with you most throughout life and why? Several bodice ripper & Harlequin romances immediately come to mind, but one book that I must have read eight times is Women’s Work by Anne Tolstoi Wallach, about a woman struggling to succeed in the male dominated world of advertising. She becomes involved with one of her agency’s clients. At the time I read it, I was just starting my career, and the book resonated with me.
6.       What prompted you to become a writer?
Something in me needs to write, to express myself through the written word. One of my earliest memories is when I was three years old, and I bragged to the four-year-old little boy next door about all the letters of the alphabet that I knew. He wasn’t impressed, but to me, knowing letters was something great. When I started to learn to read, I would lists the words I knew how to spell. I wrote my first “novel” at age 10.
7.       What is your favourite thing about your job?
Being able to do what I want to do. As a reporter, and a PR person, I did a lot of writing—but I was writing what other people wanted me to write. To sit at my computer and make stuff up and get paid for it is the best gig in the world.
8.       What is your least favourite thing about your job?
There isn’t anything I dislike about it. It’s all good. Even the promo.
9.       I know you are “out” as in your friends and family know you are Cara Bristol, for some time now. Do you think that was the right decision? And why/why not?
Yes, it was the right decision. At first I was a little embarrassed—not about what I wrote exactly, but more concerned what people would think of me—how I would face them. But I had to account for my time. People wondered what I did all day, why I wasn’t available. And second, it’s a lot easier to sell books if you can talk about them! (See how pragmatic I am? I should have put that first on the list!) Now that I’m out, I don’t even think about what people think of me. They will have their opinions, but people who genuinely liked me before they learned what I write will still like me. I don’t worry about the others. However…if I were a school teacher or something like that, it would be a different matter.
10.   I’ve loved the Breeder series to date. Can you say what prompted or inspired it?
Thank you, Tara. Most of my ideas start out as little seeds that when planted grow into something entirely different from what I expect. It’s like planting an apple and getting a grapefruit. The original germ of an idea for Breeder was of a society in which women were sexual slaves--not BDSM slaves, but slaves under the law. It was a kinky domination fantasy. But as I developed the story, Dak and Omra fell in love, and he didn’t want to share her with other men. The Breeder series has a point to make. Society assumes that one kind of sexual behavior is normal because that’s what people have been taught. Beliefs are so engrained people don’t question them. This is true of all our essential core beliefs, not just the ones about sexuality. Consider your unshakable beliefs. Why are you so sure they’re true?  Because someone you trust or someone in authority told you it was true? In the Breeder society, M/F sexual behavior is considered abnormal and is relegated to breeding. And then the ruler responsible for enforcing this law (Protocol), falls in love with his breeder and starts to question everything he was taught…
11.   In Breeder you introduced us to an incredibly male dominated society, where women were worth no more than beasts and gave us a character to love, by his willingness to look beyond protocol and taboo, and to experience deep emotions; in Terran, again you challenged protocol and interracial, or should I say inter-galactical relations, by having a Terran and a Parseon fall in love, can you tell us what the main challenges the characters will face in Warrior?
Muwahaha… I put my characters through hell in Warrior. Just when you think you understood Parseon society, I turn it upside down. The series has been called “misogynistic” in some reviews, and I concede that the females have had a rough time of it on planet Parseon. In Warrior, they have rougher time, but the females get mad, and they don’t take it anymore. I think many readers will cheer; others will be shocked at what happens, at the direction I take the story. Muwahaha…
12.   What would you say was the most challenging thing about creating a sci-fi series?
Trying to create everything from scratch--the landscape, the housing, the commerce, the animals, the language. You have to create an economic system, a government, a culture, a religion. You are creating an entire world.
13.   What, if anything, is next for the Breeder series?
Warrior finishes the series (trilogy). However, in the epilogue of Warrior, I set the stage for a Breeder spin-off series. It would be set on planet Parseon in the future and would feature the children of the existing Breeder characters. From the epilogue, you’ll get a pretty good idea which way I’m headed. However, I only know the ultimate destination—I don’t know how I will get there—or how many books it will take.
14.   What are you working on now?
I hope to publish Reasonable Doubts, a Rod and Cane Society spanking romance, in January 2015. I am actively writing a new science fiction erotic romance tentatively called, The Goddess’s Curse, which I hope to publish in April 2015. I don’t know if it will be a stand-alone or series. Plus, I have a new spanking romance series in mind. And finally, there’s the Breeder spin-off series.

15.   You’ve recently gone down the road of self-publishing, what are you finding the biggest challenges there compared with having a more traditional publisher?
The biggest challenge is figuring out what I want to do and how I want to do it. There are so many options, it can be hard to know what is going to work the best. But the beauty of self-publishing, is that if you make a mistake—you have the power to fix it. Control of your work is in your hands.

16.   If you were starting out on your writing career again, is there anything you would do differently?
A couple of things. One, I would “jump” sooner. I’ve made several key career moves that boosted my career. I wish I’d made those moves sooner. Second, I would have picked up the pace. I write full-time now. But I wrote my first erotic romance in 2009. I didn’t approach erotic romance writing as a full-time career until about 2011. If I had hit it harder the first two years, I’d be farther ahead now.

Warrior (Breeder 3) blurb
A female fighting for freedom.  A male armed with determination. Can they save their people?
As a despotic Qalin marches through Parseon intent on conquering every province, Commander Marlix pledges his sister to another Alpha to protect her. Desperate to decide her own fate, Anika flees and finds refuge with the guerilla resistance movement against Qalin. Marlix’s aide Urazi hunts her down to bring her home to fulfill her duty. But when love blossoms between them, and provinces fall to Qalin, Anika and Urazi realize home has ceased to exist, and they are all that stand between the people of Parseon and the end of the world.
Warrior is the third and final book of the Breeder science fiction romance series, but it can be read as a stand-alone.

Warrior (Breeder 3) excerpt
She stared at the bloodied body. “Is Grogan dead?”
Urazi knelt and checked for a pulse against the alpha’s neck. “Yes.” He peered up at her. “Who is he to you? Has he used you?”
“Monto, no!” she gasped, not considering the alpha’s intentions pertinent. “Grogan is the leader of the Guerilla Resistance against Qalin and Artom, which I have joined,” she explained. Urazi’s eyes narrowed, and she added, “Grogan was training me and other breeders to fight.” Breeders could approach a sentry without arousing his suspicion then immobilize him, allowing male guerillas to storm the post and secure it. She thrust back her shoulders with defiant pride. She, a female, was capable of supporting the war effort in a productive way.
Urazi rose to his feet to examine the paper target. “You are an excellent sharpshooter, but winning a battle requires more than skill with a crossbow. You would not fare well in hand-to-hand combat.”
Anika shrugged. “If I have a crossbow, I will not need to engage in hand-to-hand combat.”
“Did it help you today?” Urazi strode to Grogan’s body, and yanked up his bloodied uniform shirt. Attached to the alpha’s nipple was an insignia ring. Urazi unclipped it and carried it over to her.
Anika stared. A single star. Province one. Qalin.
“You have joined with the enemy to strike against your own people? You would betray your Alpha? Your sibling?”
Qalin’s insignia lay in Urazi’s palm, damning, but untrue. So untrue. “No! How could you say that? The Resistance plans to strike against Qalin. Against Artom.”
Urazi tucked the star into his uniform pouch.
“But maybe Grogan is an infiltrator acting alone,” she argued, fighting against the insidious memories; the ease with which she’d been accepted into the camp when her comrades learned of her familiarity with both Marlix’s and Dak’s provinces; Grogan’s constant but subtle questions about locations. He’d asked if she’d ever encountered Marlix himself. At the time, she’d feigned ignorance of the latter, fearing they would send her back to him.
Anika clutched her throat. What if Urazi’s accusation was correct?
“If he were an ordinary alpha or beta, I might concede it possible. But he is—by your account—the leader. I do not believe in coincidence. I have been observing the camp. Neither Marlix nor Dak would have sent females into combat.
“The Resistance you are so proud to be a part of is using you as expendable cannon fodder.”

#Satspanks Man up and do the punishing! His Forever Summer #Corbins Bend

Saturday Spankings Banner

Hello again and welcome to another Saturday Spankings.
I timed my new release well, it seems because I have a little piece I want to share, and I had no idea how on earth I was going to shrink it down to eight sentences or pick out the best eight, now I don't have to thanks to Spank or Treat!

Here, Carla has an appointment to see a disiplinarian and Kieran is not happy. They are not lovers and really, he is overstepping the boundaries of their friendship, but the very idea of what she is about to do is eating him up. He arrives at her door at an ungodly hour of the morning.

She jumped out of bed shouting she was coming as she pulled on a dressing gown to cover her skimpy nightdress.
“What the heck? Do you realise it’s six thirty? I only just got to sleep,” Carla snapped at Kieran as he barged through the front door.
“Sorry, this couldn’t wait. I can’t let you go through with it. I won’t let you do it. I’ve been awake all night thinking about it. It’s crazy.”
“You can’t stop me! It’s got nothing to do with you, Kieran. I need to face my demons, and be punished for it, and unless you’re going to man up and do the punishing, then I suggest you get the hell out and let me make my own decisions,” Carla snapped with exasperation.

Excerpt:

A tall, lean, unshaven man opened the door wearing only a pair of cut-off jeans. He smiled lazily, sweeping the door wide, totally unperturbed that she had caught him half naked.
“The lovely Carla, I presume?” Carla felt her face heat. Was he laughing at her? What had Jim told him about her? Or maybe he was one of these Irish rogues she had heard about, flattering a woman into the sack. Well, he could save it; no way was she bedding Jim O’Brien’s brother. Even if he was gorgeous…and muscular…and had molten chocolate eyes. Not even the cleft in his chin was going to tempt her. Or the dimples in his cheeks. Or indeed the twinkle in his eye. No! Stop it! Especially not the twinkle in his eye, she mentally scolded, you know a twinkle is not good news.
“I’m here to pick up some blueprints,” she said, quite abruptly. “They’re in the office apparently.”
“Ah, that would be my bedroom now,” he said, eyes dancing with mischief. Carla gave a flustered reply, and headed toward the office. It smelled of man and beer. Definitelyone to watch: drinks too much and enjoys flirting, she decided. She almost felt relieved. As if writing him off as husband material gave her a sense of freedom. She didn’t have to impress. She located the envelope and returned downstairs, deliberately averting her gaze from the open door of the master bedroom. She didn’t like to think what went on in there. She wished she could hate them, or even sneer at them as a miserable couple. But Carla didn’t have that luxury. She headed toward the front door, not even bothering to go to say goodbye, but Kieran’s voice halted her in her tracks. She paused until he reached her.
“Will you have a coffee with me? My charming family abandoned me and left me to my own devices on my first day here, and I don’t like talking to myself. The replies are most unsatisfactory.”
Although she still got the feeling he was having a joke at her expense, it seemed rude to refuse, so she went to the kitchen and filled a mug of coffee.
“Pancakes?” he offered.
“No, I’m dieting,” she said too quickly. He eyed her up and down.
“You’re officially mad. Have you looked in a mirror lately? You’ve a beautiful figure.”
That’s it, he’s definitely mocking, she decided. He was becoming safer territory by the minute. Two could play at that game.
“And you must be pretty comfortable with your body, since you like to entertain half naked,” she retorted.
It was Kieran’s turn to look flustered. “Shit, sorry. I forgot, be right back.” Carla listened to the sound of his bare feet on the steps as he took them two at a time. She felt smug at making Kieran feel as uncomfortable as he made her. When he returned, he had a crumpled tee shirt on. He made some remark about his poor packing skills and not having got round to ironing. His embarrassment was quite endearing. It put them on a level footing.
“So, your dad and Jim are business partners. Does he live here too?” he asked.
“No, my folks live in Denver. They were too settled to move. Mom has all her charities and things to keep her in the city.”
“So what brought you here?”

Carla realized then that he didn’t know a thing about the place. She had some vague recollection about Ange saying something about their families being ashamed of the publicity. Sooner or later he would find out. An unsuspecting vanilla in Corbin’s Bend for three months: This was going to be fun! Carla couldn’t help but wickedly wish to be present the moment the realization dawned on him.

Spotlight on Courted By Discipline, first book of the in Hyacinth series by Bree Cariad

I am absolutely thrilled to welcome Bree Cariad with her brand new release, Courted by Discipline, the first book of  her In Hyacinth series, which is now available.

When Kathy Bretherton moved to Hyacinth at the age of eighteen, she looked forward to living amongst people who believed in traditional values like her family did. She did not expect to become part of the Hyacinth Courting pool and the object of interest of every man looking for a wife.

Alexander Covington was the most eligible bachelor in town and he wanted her. For Kathy, who grew up in a traditional household where the man was the head of the home and her and her mother a committed homemaker, falling in love with him was relatively easy. Following his lead and accepting his discipline was the life-changing part.

About the series "In Hyacinth" by Bree Cariad:

Hyacinth, Washington is all about old-fashioned values. In Hyacinth words like trust, honor, and kindness aren't just buzzwords. Hyacinth is a community built on tradition and trust, where men are the head of the home and women are encouraged to follow their lead.

Each story in the series is of a young woman (18-20) and her struggle to figure out who she is in this little town while at the same time going through Hyacinth's old-fashioned courting system. On their way to meet, get to know, and finally marry their princes, these heroines grow in ways they and their town never expected.

Snippet:
For a couple minutes he didn’t speak and she hoped she was off the hook. “Do you remember me asking you never to walk out there?”

“Well, yes, but what was I to do? Mom wasn’t expected back into town for an hour and the noise was deafening.”

He parked in her driveway and turned and looked at her. The disappointment on his face made her pout. “I’m sorry, Xander.”

“Let’s go inside.”

Knowing he was going to discipline her, she followed him up the steps and unlocked the door, glad to be in out of the storm. “Go up and dry off,” he said calmly. “Then come down and join me.”

“Okay.” Running up to her bedroom, she wondered what he would do. Corner time? Lines? An essay? She had broken a promise to him. That was huge. Kathy was just glad they were in stage three. If they were in stage four, she would have more than likely be taken to her dad’s study and asked to bend over the desk so he could spank her. She wasn’t sure if she was ready for that.

Peeling her wet clothes off, she tossed them in the bathtub to wring out later and changed into flannel pants and a sweatshirt. After rubbing her hair dry with a towel, she trotted back down the stairs.

“Exactly,” Xander said and she looked up to find him on the phone. “I’m glad we agree, Gerald.” Gerald? He couldn’t be talking to her father, could he? Oh, drat. He looked up and beckoned her over and she walked up to him and sat down. “Let me put you on speaker so she can hear it from you.” He held out his phone and her father cleared his throat.

“Kathy, Alexander and I have decided that you’re now in stage four. As such, he may discipline you in any which way he chooses as long as it’s over your clothing. Do you understand?”

Kathy gaped at the phone. Her father had done it. He’d given Xander the right to spank her.

“Kathy? I asked if you understood.”

“Yes, Daddy,” she whispered, not looking at the man next to her.

“Good. Son, you’re welcome to use my study.”

“Thank you, Gerald. I will.”

Xander put the phone back in his pocket and stood up. “Kathy, go to the study.”

Standing up, she made her feet move as she walked back to the room she would rather not be in right now. She wanted to submit to Xander because she knew she was in love with him, even if she hadn’t told him, but she had never been spanked by anyone but her father before and Cami said he hit hard.

As they walked into the room, he closed the door behind them as she went to stand in front of the desk.

“Come here,” he said, taking her hand and drawing her over to the couch. After he sat down, he turned her so that she faced him. “Kathy, I know this is new and you’re scared, but I’ll never harm you. Ever. I take being the head of house seriously. And as the head in this relationship, I expect you to follow my guidance and to keep your promises. Do you know why I’m going to spank you?”

This was so much harder than being spanked by her father. It was so… personal. Xander insisted they keep eye contact and she knew she had to answer. “Because you asked me not to walk there and I did.”

“Yes and no. I’m spanking you because you agreed not to walk there and then did. Do you understand the difference? Kathy, if we get married, then I’ll be your head of house and when I ask you to do something, I’ll expect compliance and being the girl you are, I know I would receive it. As we’re in a courtship, I can only discipline you for what you have readily promised me you would do. You broke your promise to me.”

Tears sprang to her eyes and she felt her mouth tremble. Hurting him had never been her intention. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry, Xander. I didn’t mean to break my promise. I just… I didn’t think.”

“I know, honey. Discipline is a good help with that.”

Her father said the same thing and unfortunately they were both right.

She expected him to point her over to the desk just like her father did, or perhaps to lean against the wall, but instead, he patted his lap. “Over my lap, Kathy.” He was going to spank her over his knee.

Over.

His.

Knee.

#Satspanks His Forever Summer Kieran learns the truth about Corbin's Bend

Saturday Spankings Banner

Holy cow, it's Saturday again already. I apologise for my disappearing act. This is my busiest time of year in my day job and I will be wearing my normal hat for most of the time until Mid November, only popping in and out of my blog. BUT...since I have a release next week, you might get to see a little more of me. No, stop groaning... you don't HAVE to visit :D

Of course, with His Forever Summer being released next week, I have to share a snippet from that.
It finally happens, Kieran finds out that there is more to the Corbin's Bend housing Co-op than just being a wonderful place to live. He's a little shocked, to say the least, and goes to mull it over with Carla.

“Okay, out with it. Is it Corbin’s Bend or your woman troubles?” she asked as he handed her a bottle.
“Neither. Family troubles. I find my brother beating the arse off his wife, and I’m supposed to butt out and do nothing. It goes against everything we were taught growing up. My parents would be disgusted. Hell, I’m disgusted."

Uh oh, that went well then :D. Well, if you remember, when Carla first met him, she wanted to be a fly on the wall when he first found out. She may not have actually been there, but she does get to attempt to paper over the cracks. I hope she is successful.

His Forever Summer is scheduled to be released on Blushing Books next Wednesday and will be available on Amazon, and Barnes and Noble very soon after. #Satspanks His Forever Summer Hiding the truth about Corbin's Bend from Kieran

Saturday Spankings Banner

Good morning and welcome back to another Saturday spankings. I hope your coffee pot is good and full as there is a lovely long line up for you today! I am travelling all day so I won't get to visit the blogs until Sunday but I will look forward to the variety of a Sunday spanking for a change.

Season Two Corbin's Bend has already kicked off with Thianna D's wonderful Chemistry of Attraction (see here for an excerpt) and let me tell you it is explosive! I loved it. Next up is His Forever Summer which is due to be released in less than two weeks! Yay.

So, poor old Kieran - he is an unsuspecting Vanilla in a spanking community. Not a good thing when there are swats, and threats of spankings freely given all around the place. Poor Carla seems to be around every time he comes across a "Situation" this particular one happening just as Carla was wondering if Kieran knew what Corbin's Bend was yet.

They talked over a wide range of subjects without coyness or embarrassment, and she had no reason to believe spanking would be any different. They were lounging after their swim and she was mulling over the issue, wondering if she should just ask him outright, or make a casual remark when she overheard Kirk and Bethany, two long standing residents, who were on loungers close by.
Bethany was bemoaning that she had just ruined her new designer handbag, one that apparently Kirk had told her to return and he was not happy. Carla knew exactly where the conversation was going and she wasn’t taking any risks. She looked at Kieran; he was relaxing with his eyes shut, soaking up the sun. Instinctively, she took her ice cold water bottle and dumped it over him.

Now just what do you think might come next?

One demo turns into a wild night of passion neither wants to let go of.

Take one hot summer. Add in an intellectual chemist and a dominant retired Marine. Once the chemistry ignites, combustion is soon to follow.

Excerpt:
“You look handsome in your uniform,” she said before quickly realizing how that could be taken. “Not that you aren’t already handsome. I mean you’re drop-dead gorgeous of course and I’m still not sure what you—”

Warm lips pressed against her own and with a sigh, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders and clung to him as he lightly nipped her bottom lip. “Don’t be nervous,” he murmured, his lips trailing over her cheek. “I won’t harm you, Dina.”

Laughing softly, she leaned against him. “I never mean to insult people, but it seems to be a gift. I didn’t want you to think I didn’t think you good looking because I do.”

“I can tell.” She could hear the smile in his voice. “And just for the record, even though I’ve said it before. You’re absolutely stunning, Carodine Minor. And I definitely want you.” The growl in those last five words made her gulp even as he pulled her hips close and she felt his hard length through his pants. As her breath caught in her throat, he kissed her again before pulling back. “Let’s get comfortable,” he said in encouragement, reaching forward and unbuttoning the front of her dress.

It had never occurred to her when she put the dress on what a brilliant idea it was. The large buttons were quite easy for him to pop open and when he reached the last one, with one flick of his wrists, it slid off her shoulders and she let it drop to the floor. Standing in front of him in her bra, panties, garter belt, and heels, she felt like some strange porn movie – chemists who do porn – and was about to wrap her arms in front of herself when she looked up into his face.

He was captivated. His eyes devoured her and for the first time in her life, she felt beautiful. And sexy. Brandon’s fingers slid down her body slowly, his fingertips rubbing on the edge where her bra met skin. Each touch flashed fire across her skin and as the memory of their morning came to her, she knew what she wanted and needed. “Spank me,” she breathed, watching him.

Author Bio:
Thianna D. likes to say she’s eclectic, fun, and just a bit naughty. She writes erotica and erotic romance with both M/F and M/M main characters. No matter what she writes, all the hot scenes support the story instead of the other way around.

She’s also the creator of and acquisition editor for the Corbin’s Bend spanking romance series. Who else wants to be safe, secure, and spanked in Colorado?

#Wipitup Wednesday His Forever Summer

Welcome to WIP it up Wednesday

The good news is for Corbin's Bend readers is season two kicks off tomorrow with the release of Thianna D's Chemistry Of Attraction which should be on sale on Blushing Books, and hopefully all other sites before the day is out. I can't wait to read it.

Then in another two weeks, His Forever Summer will be released. Yay!
Here's a snippet of the interactions between the two brothers just after Kieran arrives in Colorado.

A wave of relief washed over Kieran when he saw Jim standing behind the barriers alone. Kieran was struck by how amazingly fit and trim his brother looked. He had become positively porky before they left Ireland, and no wonder; Ange was an incredible cook. The thought of being fed by her for the next three months was making his mouth water in anticipation. Looking at Jim made him wonder if she had given up on the cooking elaborate dishes for the family, now that she was running a bakery business.
“Is the missus not feeding you right, now that she’s back working?” he asked once Jim released him from the bear hug.
“Don’t you dare say that to Ange, or she’ll serve you your goolies for breakfast in the morning,” Jim replied with a laugh. “It’s living here. The facilities are great and there’s no going to the pub every weekend. You smell like you could do with a dry out too!”
“Christ, I didn’t expect you to have a pop at me. Ange maybe. I haven’t turned into a lush. It’s a once off, I swear. But I could seriously use a coffee before we go any further. How long is the drive?”
“Over an hour. We’ll get coffee to go.”
“I suppose you heard Maura’s getting married,” Kieran said as they started out on the journey.
“Fuck, no! I’m sorry, man.”
“Ach, I suppose it’s better off happening now then when we had kids. At least that’s what I try to tell myself. She’d have left me sooner or later. You’re lucky you found Ange. She’s so dependable.”
“We’ve had our share of ups and downs, every couple does. But yeah, she’s pretty great. And coming here was a brilliant decision. We’ve become a team.”
“Oh my God, that sounds so American. We’ll have to get you back home to sort you out.”
“Scoff away, but you’ll see. Things are different here. Once Corbin’s Bend gets under your skin, you won’t want to leave. And no, before you ask! You can’t extend your stay. Three months is definitely your limit. I had to do all sorts of begging and pleading to get permission for you to stay this long.”
“Why, what’s the big deal with visitors?”
“It’s a housing co-operative, none of us own our houses, but we own shares in the co-op. New residents go through a screening process. And a three month stay is a long time. The board may well want to meet with you, I don’t know yet.”
“What sort of screening? Like work ethic, clean living and that kind of thing?”
“Um, yeah…something like that,” Jim replied.
